Phillies Main Dining Room Maitre d’, David Montgomery’s dream is to bring back the glory years of the 50s and 60s when his headwaiter’s father was one of the Phillies great shortstops of that era. Ruben Amaro Sr. followed in the footsteps of the great Chico Fernandez.

Monty wants to bring all that back so that those of us of a certain age can relive our childhoods.

Who can forget “the streak,” a modern era MLB record that lives to this day.

Montgomery is so proud of that, he wants to recreate it both for us and today’s young fans so that they learn to appreciate the past.
